Villeneuve LIGUE ELITE CHAMPIONS!

Villeneuve has claimed their third Ligue Elite championship, Winning it over reigning champions Rethel in a best-of-three series. Villeneuve sealed the deal with a commanding 4-1 victory in Game 2, leaving no doubt about their championship Win!

The game started with a scoreless first period, as both goaltenders were on fire. Brabec was on another level, showcasing why he's a world championship-caliber goalie. His confidence just grew with each save, Which gave Villeneuve huge confidence.

However, Villeneuve broke the deadlock early in the second period. The French-Czech connection of Karl Gabillet and Martin Fiala struck first. Karl made an absolutely beautiful play, dragging the puck to his backhand and dishing it under the defenseman’s stick, setting up Fiala for the bury to make it 1-0.

Rethel quickly responded with a power-play goal from Martin Loskot, who unleashed a one-timer bomb to even the score. But Villeneuve wouldn't stop. The French superstar Karl Gabillet scored next, thanks to a perfect dish from Austin Koss making it 2-1. Fiala then struck again midway through the second period with another one-timer, extending the lead 3-1.

Rethel's made efforts to mount a comeback,  but Villeneuve’s defense threw everything and the kitchen sink at them. The game was put out of reach when Karl Gabillet completed his 2nd goal and scored an empty-netter, sealing a 4-1 victory and clinching the Ligue Elite championship.

This Makes Villeneuve’s third league title, capping off an unbelievable run on the season. What a team made of players all over the world, France, Czech, USA.
