The World Games 2025, ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW!

Every four years, the best athletes in non-Olympic sports come together for The World Games, a premier global multi-sport event organized by the International World Games Association (IWGA). First held in 1981 in Santa Clara, California, the event has grown to become the second most important global multi-sport competition—just behind the Olympics.

For the roller sports world, The World Games represents the pinnacle of international competition, and this year, inline hockey will kick things off in Chengdu, China. From August 7–11, eight elite men’s national teams will compete for gold:

🇫🇷 France
🇮🇹 Italy
🇨🇳 China
🇳🇦 Namibia
🇦🇷 Argentina
🇹🇼 Chinese Taipei

All eyes will be on Team USA, who took home gold at the previous edition in Birmingham, AL in OT Dramatic fashion vs Czechia and are looking to defend their title in what promises to be one of the most exciting and fast-paced tournaments of the year. The event will be broadcast live on worldskate.tv, giving fans around the world the chance to to see the best in the world compete for Gold!

Over the 11-day span of The World Games, more than 4,000 athletes from 100+ countries will compete in 253 medal events, making this a truly global celebration of sport.

For inline hockey, this is more than a tournament—it’s a world stage. And for Team USA, it’s a chance to make history again.
