As the temperatures rise and summer takes full swing, the roller world wheels up for another season of tournament roller. From North America to Europe and even Africa, the next few months are filled with some unreal events that promise to bring atmosphere like no other and showcase the best talent in the sport. Here's a look at the major roller hockey tournaments scheduled for this summer.
MIWHA Masters World Cup Tournament
Dates: June 10 - June 15
Kicking off the summer roller hockey season is the MIWHA Masters World Cup Tournament. This prestigious event brings together seasoned veterans of the sport, showcasing their skill, experience, and love for the game. Fans can expect thrilling matches as teams from around the world compete for the coveted title. The tournament not only highlights the sport's competitive nature but also fosters camaraderie and sportsmanship among participants.
TORHS Nationals
Dates: June 20 - June 30
Location: AdventHealth Center Ice
TORHS Nationals takes place at AdventHealth Center Ice. This tournament is known as the start of the summer roller run for the roller hockey community, attracting top teams and players from across the United States and beyond. Although live streams are limited, live barn access is available for fans who can't make it in person. The TORHS Pro division features nine teams this year, promising fierce competition. One of the coolest aspects of the venue is the main rink setup, which is perfect for watching games and grabbing a beer. Not only does the venue offer a great atmosphere, the city of Wesley Chapel (Tampa Bay Area) has a ton to offer.
IIHS Bohemian Series
Dates: July 1 - July 7
Location: Ško-Energo Aréna
Heading to Europe in its 2nd year, the IIHS Bohemian Series in the Czech Republic offers a unique blend of competitive roller hockey and cultural experience. Set in the picturesque town of Mladá Boleslav, the tournament takes place at the renowned Ško-Energo Aréna. This event attracts teams from across Europe and beyond, providing a platform for showcasing emerging talent and fostering international sportsmanship. The Bohemian Series is a highlight for players and fans alike, combining top-tier hockey with the charm of a historic European setting. Its worth noting that making their return to IIHS is the Pama Labeda Golden Knights are making their 2nd appearance in this tournament. It will be interesting to see what players form the Czech national participate in this years event.
NARCH Finals
Dates: July 11 - July 21
Location: The Rinks @ Irvine
NARCH (North American Roller Hockey Championships) Finals are set to take place at The Rinks @ Irvine in California. Some say The Rinks is the mecca of roller hockey, a place you just have to play at. The sunset really makes those night games epic. As one of the largest and most anticipated roller hockey tournaments in the world, NARCH Finals draw teams from across North America and the globe. Known for its high level of competition and festive atmosphere, the event spans ten days of non-stop action. From youth divisions to adult categories, which have massive participation, this year’s tournament will once again feature a Women's Pro division and a Men's Pro division. The Men's division boasting the most teams of any pro tournament with 15 teams. NARCH is the premier tournament series for competitive travel roller hockey, making this event a pinnacle of the summer roller hockey season.
State Wars 20
Dates: July 23 - August 5

State Wars 20, celebrating its 20th anniversary, is set to be a massive event hosted at the St. Peters Rec-Plex in Missouri. Known as one of the best rinks for viewing pro games, this tournament features teams from states and countries worldwide, with participants ranging from youth to adult pros and women’s divisions.
State Wars Hockey aims to provide a competitive, geographically structured national roller hockey event, giving selected participants the pride and honor of representing their home state, province, or country. Governed by experienced coaches and State Wars Hockey staff, players of the same birth year compete for spots on their state, provincial, or national teams, vying for the United States Roller Hockey Championship.
This tournament is unique in its format, emphasizing regional pride and community. With a wide range of age groups and skill levels, State Wars showcases the widespread popularity and inclusivity of roller hockey. A highlight of the event is the premier Pama Pro Invitational, a top-tier pro tournament established in partnership with the Nijjar family and PAMA Management. This exclusive division, which replaced the Elite AAA division, invites only the strongest teams, with the top eight teams from the previous year automatically securing spots.
Africa Cup
Dates: August 14 - August 18
Location: The Dome (Africa)
Rounding off the summer roller hockey calendar is the Africa Cup, held at The Dome in Africa. This tournament is a significant step for the sport's growth and development on the continent. It provides a platform for African teams to showcase their talent and compete at a high level. Namibia has made some noise at World Skate events over the past years which exemplifies the growth of the sport in Africa.
